Communications
Whether you want to edit your web page, promote an event to students or staff, or work on an recruitment email campaign, we can help you get your message across. Here are the channels to know about:
Digital Signs
We have many digital signs (the large tv screens) across campus. IT runs the hardware, while Marketing is responsible for overseeing content.

Newsletters
We have two weekly newsletters: Lane Weekly (for staff and faculty) and Titan Times (for students). Please see the following links for details and submission info:
- Lane Weekly Submission Form (Please read the Lane Weekly COPPS procedure first)
- Titan Times Submission Form
Internal Communications
Email is Lane's primary internal communication method. Lane employees may also join our Lane Slack channel with their lanecc.edu email.
Web
Our web presence is most people's first encounter with Lane. Marketing runs www.lanecc.edu for external audiences and inside.lanecc.edu for internal audiences.

Writing Style & Voice
Our community is diverse and wonderful. We want anyone seeking education to feel welcome and not intimidated. Remember that your audience could be a 15 year old high school student or a 65+ year old retiree. They could’ve grown up in Eugene or in Togo. Our language should be accessible to everyone, reflecting our commitment to our students.
Tips
- Follow the AP Style guide
- Balance friendliness with authority. Aim to be conversational but knowledgeable.
