Buildings Affected: All Main Campus buildings are scheduled for upgrades to the WiFi system. As work is planned in a specific building every effort will be made to notify building occupants. Please note that notifications may be last minute as work plans (and access) change.
Scope: This project includes the replacement of existing WiFi Access Points (WAPs) as well as the installation of new WAPs to improve WiFi coverage. Please note that the project will roll out during the course of Fall Term.
Services Impacted: The contractor will be installing additional cabling to support the new WAP locations. This work may include the installation of conduit which will include intermittent noise (drilling). During the replacement of the existing WAPs there will be disruption to the WiFi coverage/connectivity. Work should be largely limited to hallways, conference rooms and classrooms. There may be select locations that will include Department Office locations. Individual offices should not be impacted by the work. The contractor will be provided with building schedules in order to try and limit disruptions to learning.
