Tool Description

WebAIM provides a color contrast checker to ensure you meet WCAG accessibility guidelines. The user selects a foreground and background color, and is then given several examples of that color combination in practice, as well as giving a contrast score for those colors used in various layouts and formats. The score is measured up against WCAG AA and AAA guidelines, showing whether or not two colors have sufficient contrast between them to qualify as legible and accessible.
