OEA Professional Development

The Oregon Education Association (OEA) offers a wide range of learning opportunities for members to increase their knowledge and skills across a variety of content areas. Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Workshops

The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) workshops enable colleagues worldwide to collaborate cost-effectively with peers and experts via synchronous and asynchronous methods for effective and engaging learning. They are committed to modeling best practices in online learning in all of their workshops. Toward that end, OLC’s workshops utilize numerous proven teaching strategies and learning activities that will spark creative ideas for your own teaching environment.

OLC Ideate Virtual Salons
The Online Learning Consortium held a series of open salons (a casual and inclusive space with discussions organized and facilitated by a salon leader) that offered educators of all levels the opportunity to listen to emerging ideas and effective practices from their peers. All sessions were recorded. Topics include; Building Inclusive Learning Environments, Best Practices for "Good Enough" Zoom Class Sessions, and much, much more. Lane is a member of OLC.
