2018 Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE)
SENSE Survey Instrument - the survey instrument administered to all students enrolled in course sections that were randomly selected by staff at the Center for Community College Student Engagement. Most course sections had students returning to Lane fall term 2018 as well as entering/new students to Lane that term.
Findings about Entering or New Students Only - Counts and percentages of responses to each question on the Survey are presented from: (a) Lane, (b) other Large community colleges (64 institutions), and (c) 2018 SENSE cohort of colleges (269 institutions)
The results are presented based on the Six SENSE categories -- Early Connections; High Expectations and Aspirations; Clear Academic Plan and Pathway; Effective Track to College Readiness; Engaged Learning; and Academic and Social Support Network.
