Accessibility Info

The Smartsheet Web VPAT highlights areas where the platform partially supports accessibility standards based on WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA. Accessibility challenges include missing or improperly associated labels for form fields, radio buttons, and table elements, making them difficult for screen reader users to navigate. The logical reading and focus orders are inconsistent in some areas, leading to navigation difficulties. Interactive elements, such as buttons and pagination controls, often lack programmatically defined names, roles, and states, further impeding assistive technology compatibility.

Smartsheet has issues with keyboard accessibility, such as elements that cannot be navigated or activated via keyboard and focus traps in areas like the Gantt View grid. Color is occasionally used as the sole indicator for certain information, which poses challenges for users with visual impairments. Contrast ratios for text and non-text content often fail to meet minimum requirements, and some elements lack visible focus indicators, creating barriers for keyboard users. Error messages and status updates are not always communicated effectively to assistive technologies.
