Monday, Sept. 19 - New this year! Student Outcomes Assessment Day

Lane’s inaugural assessment day will consist of a guided working day with specific materials and tasks distributed to each academic unit. A remote facilitated morning session will be followed by afternoon round-tables conducted by the Center for Teaching and Learning.

The Faculty Professional Development committee invited Dr. Bryan Dewsbury to share his about his work titled “A chance at birth: An academic development activity to promote deep reflection on social inequities.”

Afternoon Activities

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Tour playground updates at Child Care Center. Open to all Employee groups. Have you ever been to the Lane Child and Family Center on the west side of campus? We made some playground updates this summer with grant funds and we would love to show it off to the larger campus community! Come for a short walk through of our center and playgrounds so you can share child care information with student parents and staff. 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM - Public Safety Training - Violent Actor/Active Shooter Training. In Person: 19/220. Also held virtually: Open to all Employee groups. Public Safety Officers Lieutenant Christopher Hanneson and Corporal Curtis Oliver will give participants an overview of active shooter statistics, tactical decision making, the decision to run, hide, or fight, and how to respond quickly with confidence during an emergency.
