Bring the Conference Back to Lane

Center for Teaching and Learning

Keep the ideas and energy going

Recently attended a conference (any professional development experience)? What stayed with you - a new idea, an energizing conversation, a different perspective, or something you can’t wait to try?

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites you to share that experience with the Lane community. Students, administrators, staff, and faculty are all welcome. Whatever your role or the focus of your conference, we’d love to learn from you.

What would you like to bring back to Lane?

You don’t need to recap every session. Start with what mattered to you:

  • What excited you or challenged your thinking?
  • What did you learn from people with different experiences and perspectives?
  • What idea, resource, or practice would you like to try at LCC?
  • What would you like to explore with others?

A few takeaways and an open conversation are enough. No polished presentation needed. The CTL can help coordinate a way to share that works for you.

Let’s learn from each other

Not everyone has the opportunity to attend a conference or many professional development opportunities. Sharing what you bring back helps more of us benefit from the ideas, connections, and diverse perspectives you encountered. Together, we can keep that momentum going and explore what it could mean for teaching, learning, and the student experience at Lane.

When you blow on a dandelion, 10 more will pop up.

Share your experience

Email ctl@lanecc.edu with the conference you attended and a little about what you’d like to share. We’ll work out the format, timing, and details together.
