Over the next several months, Infrastructure Services will be performing a college-wide Wi-Fi upgrade. As part of this project, we are updating our network security protocols to support newer devices, ensure up-to-date security compliance, and provide safer, more reliable connections.
To facilitate these improvements, effective March 30th, 2026, we are changing the authentication process for the Wi-Fi networks.
What is changing?
Employees will no longer use their L Number to log in to the Wi-Fi. Instead, credentials must match those used to sign in to LCC computers.
New Login Requirements: Please use one of the following formats:
- Computer Login: Lastname + first initial (e.g., smithj)
- Full Email Address: (e.g., smithj@lanecc.edu)
Note: These changes affect only employees. Student access is not affected; students should continue to use their L# to sign in.

If you experience any issues connecting to Wi-Fi after the transition date, please contact the IT Help Desk:
- Go to help.lanecc.edu and select Submit IT Request.
- Choose WIFI in the center of the page.
- Select Help logging into WIFI on the right.
