Students involved in Student Life and Leadership, including but not limited to members of the Lane Student Government Association and the Council of Clubs, may attend statewide boards, various trainings, and conferences, representing the college at both state and national levels. Student leaders on official college business may reserve vehicles through the college motor pool, with approval from the Director of Student Life and Leadership. An advisor must accompany the trip.
All motor pool drivers must comply with college requirements, such as possessing a valid driver's license and insurance, and must follow all vehicle reservation procedures and policies.
Process for Vehicle Reservations and Travel Support:
- Airfare Trips: Submit a request at least 3 months in advance.
- In-State Travel: Submit a request 30 days in advance.
- Local Events: Submit a request at least 3 weeks in advance.
Students who receive advisor approval and submit their requests within the required timeframes will receive support from the Student Life and Leadership staff. The staff will assist with the reservation process and ensure driver certification.
Upon completing the request and communicating with the Student Life and Leadership Office, all students and drivers must adhere to Motor Pool policies and procedures. An advisor is required to attend all trips where students are driving.
