This procedure describes the requirements and application process for international students, and the responsibilities of these students when enrolled.
Lane Community College is committed to providing an International Student Program which meets the needs of the international student enrolled in ESL, college transfer or career and technical certificates or degrees.
The International Programs office at Lane offers comprehensive support for international students from recruitment through admissions, academic and immigration advising for enrolled students and support for post -graduation OPT and transfer to universities.
International students are admitted to Lane Community College through the International Programs office and must meet specific criteria to be eligible for admissions. These documents will vary by student but may include transcripts, evidence of financial resources, transfer forms, passport copies, I-20 and/or visa related documents. Adequate funds must be available as Lane Community College only offers limited scholarships and immigration authorities rarely give work permits. Lane Community College does not accept students whose I-20s have been terminated. Students who have achieved a degree in the USA may need to have a meeting with an academic advisor and may not be eligible for transfer or an extension of I-20.
The deadline for submitting an application for admission varies each year. Please see the International Admissions page.
For specific information on admissions requirements please email internationaladmissions@lanec.edu Or visit the International Requirements page.
International students must remain in compliance with SEVIS rules related to the F-1 visa. International Programs supports students efforts to do so. For complete information about immigration requirements please see the International Immigration Policies page.
