Purpose

This procedure describes the steps eligible students must take to apply for graduation.

Narrative

To be considered a Lane graduate students are required to complete all of their program requirements as stated in the catalog for Associate Degrees, 1 and 2 year Certificates and Career Pathway Certificates. Students may earn more than one Degree or Certificate at Lane.

All students must apply online for their degrees and/or certificates during their final term for that program. The graduation application is available in myLane, and opens on the first day of the term for which a student wishes to be considered for graduation. A student application is cleared if that student has completed and/or is registered to complete all courses required for the program of study for which they are registered. If the student does not complete all required courses at the end of the term, their application will be inactivated and that student will need to reapply.

Students have until the last day of the term in which they are planning to complete their requirements to apply for their degree. Degrees will also be awarded retroactively, if a student has already completed all of their requirements.
