This procedure designates Facilities Management and Planning as the department responsible for assuring compliance with federal and state law, and as the department to which requests to display the flag should be directed.
Facilities Management and Planning is responsible for displaying the national and state flags in accordance with state and federal flag laws. Observance of special occasions that require the flag to be flown at half mast will be at the direction of the president of the United States, the governor of the state of Oregon and the president of Lane Community College.
All requests for flags to be displayed or to be used for college functions are directed to Facilities Management and Planning. Facilities Management and Planning will notify Public Safety.
