It is the practice of Academic and Student Affairs to make college equipment and materials available to students for class projects and college activities both on and off campus. It is the responsibility of the departments to ensure adequate control of their equipment and materials.
- Each department will have on file with Academic and Student Affairs its policy for loaning equipment and materials to students and an outline of the control methods that will be used to safeguard the equipment and materials that are on loan.
- Revisions of the policy and guidelines for control that are adopted in the future will be sent to Academic and Student Affairs.
- Grades may not be withheld by instructors when students fail to return equipment and materials. The student should be billed through Enrollment Services, which puts a hold on official transcripts and blocks registration for another term until the bill is paid or the student has returned the equipment and received a release from the department.
