Purpose
This procedure describes how the College will distribute a Substance Abuse Prevention statement annually. The College is obligated to inform students and staff of the health risks associated with use of various illicit drugs and abuse of alcohol.
Narrative
Lane is responsible for distributing a Substance Abuse Prevention statement annually to both students and staff under the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989.
The Student Statement will be published in the college catalog and each class schedule. The master electronic copy will reside in Institutional Research. The Mental Health and Wellness Center will be responsible for updating that copy.
The Staff Statement will be published and distributed by the Mental Health and Wellness Center. The original electronic copy will reside in the Mental Health and Wellness Center.
