Celebrating our Building 1 student service professionals

Join the whole campus community for a CTL pancake breakfast celebrating the amazing student service professionals on the first floor of Building 1: our colleagues in advising, admissions and recruitment, enrollment and registration, financial aid, student accounts, and international programs - along with the administrative and student staff who help make it all happen.

Every day, these colleagues help turn “I’m thinking about college” into “I belong here, and I have a path forward.” They welcome students, explain complicated processes, help navigate financial barriers, build academic plans, and offer encouragement when the next step feels overwhelming. Every question answered and every barrier addressed helps students reach the classroom, keep going, and move toward their goals. Your work makes teaching, learning, and student success possible.

We see the commitment this takes, especially when demands are high and resources are limited. We see the expertise, patience, creativity, and care you bring to difficult situations. Your contributions matter deeply to our students and to Lane.

One team. A shared commitment.

Student success is our shared work. What is one action each of us can take, in any role at Lane, to support a teammate, remove a barrier for students, and help us succeed together?

Around the breakfast table: October 9

Our October 9 CTL breakfast brought people together over pancakes, coffee, and conversation - a chance to connect with colleagues and students and get to know the people behind the work at Lane. We’re carrying that spirit of community into our next gathering in Building 1.

Host a future CTL breakfast

Let us spotlight your department, program, or team. Share what you do, what you care about, and how your work supports students.

  • We cook: The CTL makes pancakes and provides coffee.
  • You choose the place: We can come to your area or gather in the CTL, Center Building, room 303.
  • Make it a potluck: Bringing a dish to share is encouraged. Homemade or store-bought is welcome, and everyone is welcome with or without food.
