Purpose
Establish that Lane Community College is committed to equity and access in electronic communications and technology for students, employees, and community members.
Narrative
In adherence with federal and state equal access and accessibility laws, the college supports the procurement and use of accessible technology, and the creation and use of accessible content for students, employees, and visitors.
Content Creation
All electronic content created or used by the college (except where explicitly excluded), must adhere to legal requirements.
Technology Procurement
The college must ensure that any technology procured, whether hardware or software adheres to applicable accessibility law, including but not limited to Section 255 of the Communications Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Title II of the Americans with Disability Act.
