We have heard from many of you that you want more clarity about the work in front of us. At the same time, we are beginning the process of developing Lane's next strategic plan. These conversations belong together, and I want employees to have opportunities to understand the work and participate in it.

Led by Lane Graphic Design lead faculty Tom Madison, LCC's second annual Design Educators Summit brought 25 regional high school instructors to campus for four days of hands-on training, strengthening the pathway between high school classrooms and Lane's degree programs.

A new economic impact study from labor-data analyst company Lightcast shows Lane Community College (LCC) is a major contributor to the region's economy, generating $816.2 million annually, which is equivalent to 9,787 jobs supported. 

The Florence Center is the latest Lane Community College (LCC) building to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, with the Silver level for their LEED Building Operations and Maintenance (O+M) rating system. This transformation included new LED lighting, Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, and more efficient HVAC systems. These not only improved comfort for students, staff, and faculty, but also improved energy efficiency, strengthening Lane’s commitment to community stewardship and future generations.
