Nominate a Faculty Member

Nominate an Outstanding Faculty Member for a Faculty Recognition Award!

What is a Faculty Recognition Award?
Each term, Lane Community College recognizes faculty who have made outstanding contributions to academic life on campus. Faculty members include classroom and online instructors, cooperative education coordinators, librarians, Health Center medical specialists, and counselors.

How do I make a nomination?
To nominate any faculty member at Lane, please click on the "Nominations" link below. In the form provided, please write the name of the person you are nominating, along with your own name and contact information. Then, in the larger box, please write a thoughtful message about how the person supports Lane's Core Values in their work, and contributes to Lane Community College's Vision statement "Transforming Lives Through Learning." The list of Core Values is on the nomination site. Please remember to click "Submit" when you're done!

Important: Please know that the quality of the nominations greatly influences the decision about who is chosen for a Faculty Recognition Award. Nominations that are descriptive, longer than a few sentences, specific about the nominee's accomplishments, and that reference Lane's Core Values (as described on the nomination site), are often the most effective in influencing the committee's decision about whom to recognize for this dynamic award.
