The American Association for Women in Community Colleges is dedicated to changing women's lives through leadership and education, thus strengthening our colleges and communities.
Purpose and Goals
Purpose:
- To develop a community of women for personal and professional growth at Lane Community College.
- To encourage education program development for women at Lane Community College.
- To recognize and uphold the purpose and bylaws of the state chapter and national organization of AAWCC.
Goals:
- To provide learning opportunities for women at Lane Community College.
- To provide opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of women at Lane Community College.
- To provide opportunities for social events that would enhance networking and sharing of innovative ideas.
- To sponsor and co-sponsor guest speakers on issues of interest to women at Lane Community College.
- To raise money for the AAWCC Leadership Award Fund.
- To provide mentorship and respond to the needs of the community.

Membership
Memberships are open to all LCC employees and students. Everyone is welcome!
There is a $20 annual fee for membership.
