Whether you’ve been dancing since you were a kid, or you’ve never been inside a dance studio, we offer classes for all levels of ability! Lane’s dance classes are designed for both the dance major and the dance enthusiast, so whether you’re taking classes to fulfill your degree requirements or just for fun, there’s a place for you.
Transfer Interest Area
Our dance classes develop you physically, emotionally, and academically. We offer courses of all levels to help you grow and expand your technique. Geared toward both the transfer student and those seeking personal enrichment, our subjects include contemporary, ballet, somatics, and theory.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Technique classes based on skill-level in contemporary dance and ballet.
- Your choice of somatic classes that include Fluid Yoga, Meditation in Motion, and Pilates.
- Choreography courses such as improvisation, dance composition, and group choreography.
AFTER LANE
Lane Community College’s rigorous dance classes provide a strong foundation for your future in the arts. Our dedicated faculty empower students with the technical skills and creative vision needed to thrive at top-tier institutions. With direct articulation agreements to the University of Oregon and Western Oregon University, you can seamlessly transfer into their renowned dance programs.

LCC is closed on Fridays in the summer
