Filezilla is a free, open-source, cross-platform File Transfer Protocol (FTP) application. You can find installation clients for many different platforms on the Filezilla website, as well as installation instructions.

Once you have installed Filezilla, you can create a server.

1. Go to File→Site Manager.
2. Under Select Entry on the left hand side, click the New Site button.
3. Name the site "citstudent".
4. Locate the Host section on the right hand side, under the General tab.
5. Enter "citstudent.lanecc.edu" (without quotes).
6. In the section labeled "Port", enter "22" (without quotes).
7. Under Logon Type, choose "Normal".
8. The User will be your last name and the first initial of your first name with the last 3 of your L number.
9. The Password is a password that the instructor will provide.

Drop by the CIT Lab, building 19, room 135 if you are having issues with your user/password credentials.
